Heron offers power reels for tape lengths 1000ft ( 300m ) and over. Using a power reel will make taking level readings in deep wells faster and less strenuous. All power reels are available in with a 12V or 120VDC. Large double frame allows for easy fastening on to drill rigs or truck beds.

• The Heron electric Powered Water Level Meter is intended for use with longer tapes.
• This unit will accept tape lengths to 3500ft ( 1200m )
• The power source is 12 volt DC that can be taken from the regular 12v system on trucks or light pickups.
• The unit uses power to lower and raise the tape in the well. A hand crank is also included in case of power failure.

****Warning: Do not operate power reel with the manual hand crank attached to the reel.****

The Heron Instruments Powered Water Level Meter is fitted with an up / down control and suitable alligator clips to connect to a vehicle battery. The control unit is fitted with momentary switches that revert to “off” when they are not held in the “on” position. If the tape gets stuck in the well, do not attempt to recover the tape under power. Stop the unit and try to free the tape by hand. This is a power tool and all precautions should be taken when using such tools to avoid injury. Make sure the up / down control is in the off position before connecting the reel to the power source. Keep hands clear of all moving parts. Make appropriate connections to the battery. + / + and - /- (red to red and black to black) Use care as the probe exits the well. (Black bands on the tape warn when the tape approaches the top of the well )
